When your out there taking care of business or on the town, wanting to look your best, your hair frizzes, curls, or flops and then you’re in a hairy situation. You probably don’t even know it until you’ve check in the bathroom mirror sometime after lunch. Or even worse, you are on a date and take a peek into compact and that’s when you think “No! Have I looked like this all night!?”
So what to do?
Well, its always handy to have emergency hair supplies in your make-up bag or purse. Here are my top suggestions:
- Rubber bands. Tame that mess by pulling it back into a neat ponytail, braid, or bun.
- Dry Shampoo. It is a must for traveling or for hot Summer days especially like the ones we have here in Gainesville, Florida! Comb dry shampoo through hair for a fresh clean look. You can also use a bit of baby powder, but only use it very lightly because it will make your hair powdered white!
- Always keep a quality brush in your purse or car.
- Locking bobby pins. These are my sister, Krystal Reeser’s favorite! She likes them because they are a little more secure than regular bobby pins. You can use them to pull back the top, or your bangs, or can even be used to lock back the sides.
- Bobby pins. Bobby pins are a simple way to secure your hair. Always good in a bun, french twist, or poof up the top and secure with bobbys for the high crown look.
- Mini Hair lotion. Keeping a small tube of hair lotion around always helps you fight the frizzes.
- Mini Hair Spray. Keeping a mini-hair spray around can really save the day!
Of course there are hairsticks, scrunchies, and other creative products that can help smooth those course treses.
